This month we are combing our meeting with two other associations. Building Energy Management Manitoba (BEMM) and the manitoba chapter of the Green Building Council (MbCaGBC) have partnered with us on an exciting topic. We will be presenting a panel discussion on the coordination requirements of the new energy code. By now all of us should know about the energy code so that’s not really that new. What we would like to discuss is how the various consultants will have to communicate, coordinate and design to the new code once it’s implemented in December.

Our panelists are Marten Duhoux (FT3) as the architect, Rick Marshall as building envelope expert/general contractor, Donal O’Connor (Stantec) as the energy modeller and our moderator Dieter Bartel (Mb Hydro). We encourage our members to bring their questions and register early. It’s possible space could be limited. Last year’s combined meeting had 70 attendees so you do not want to miss this one.

Please RSVP your attendance to me at ashrae.mb@gmail.com by noon on Friday, November 14th.
Also, due to the topic we estimate that this meeting could be a bit longer than our typical meetings, plan accordingly.

I hope to see all of you at the meeting!
