Adoption of the Manitoba Energy Code For Buildings

On December 20, 2013, the province of Manitoba passed a law adopting the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2011 (NECB) which becomes enforceable on December 1, 2014. The energy code affects building envelope, electrical, lighting, HVAC and service water heating systems to either meet the prescriptive targets or alternate performance compliance.
